28 Jan 2008 | Albina du Boisrouvray visits India with Nicolas Sarkozy's delegation
Albina du Boisrouvray, FXB Founder and President, was invited to India as part of French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s maiden delegation to the country. During her 18th visit to the country, she reiterated her and FXB’s concern about India’s AIDS orphans, who continue to face exploitation and abuse. She visited FXB Sanjay Camp in New Delhi, a slum where FXB runs one of its HIV prevention projects.
FXB is the only international NGO that operates in all 35 states and union territories of India. In 2007, FXB launched five FXB Village Model Programs across the country to provide essential support, such as schooling and healthcare, and reinforce the capacities of the communities that care for orphans and vulnerable children affected by the AIDS pandemic.
